Getting Through the Storm

Before Jesus calmed the sea on the Sea of Galilee, his disciples on the boat were terrified. Their fear revealed their lack of understanding about who Jesus is. He was fully human in that he was exhausted and asleep in the boat after a long day of ministering to others. Jesus revealed his fully divine nature by  rebuking the storm to demonstrate that all things were created through him and for him (Colossians 1:16). We can take solace that Jesus is in control of all things and when we place our trust in him, we can trust him to be there in the midst of our trials.
