The Way of a Servant

In the third prediction of his passion, Jesus is preparing his disciples not only for his own imminent suffering but also for the shared fellowship of suffering that they will experience. In God’s economy, suffering is not invisible or unknown, and it is never wasted but serves as a crucible for growth. Greatness in the Kingdom comes through radical generosity with our time, talent and material wealth in service to others.
