An Orderly Account: Trusting God’s Word

Despite the overuse of the term “fake news” in today’s parlance, distinguishing between truth and error is important. With today’s introduction to the gospel of Luke, the writer makes the case that not only is his account of events trustworthy but that it is also significant. The reader is challenged to take and read the Bible to test it and see that the Jesus of the gospels is who he claims to be, the one who came to redeem a people for himself and to send them into the world as a transformed community to be agents of his coming kingdom.
