Revealing the Character of God

In our understanding of the gospel, it’s easy for us to fall into either legalism or into antinomianism. In the Sermon on the Mount, we hear Christ instruct us in a proper understanding of the role of God’s Law. As the one who perfectly satisfied the demands of the Law, Jesus points back to it to show us our spiritual poverty and the riches of God’s grace and mercy toward us.
