The Entrusted Gospel Witness of the Church, Part 2

Text: 1 Timothy 3:8-13

In Isaiah and the minor prophets, there is reference to two categories of people: the lost and those who serve God. The implication is that, if one is converted and following Christ, service will be a natural expression of life in Christ for all believers. Yet today, as we further consider qualifications for officers in the church, we look at the office of deacon, who are those specifically called to lead the people of God in service.
