Prayer & Fasting

The neglected spiritual discipline of fasting is seen all throughout the Scriptures, in both Old and New Testaments. As Mercy’s leadership is calling the congregation to a day of prayer and fasting for significant decisions before us, it’s important to have a proper understanding of how to proceed. We are not looking to earn God’s favor but rather to humble ourselves before him and acknowledge that we are not self-sufficient.
