I Love You Because I Love You

Text: Deuteronomy 7:6-9

Because we tend to forget the gospel, we do well to continually preach it to ourselves in order to reorient our hearts toward grace. We are reminded today that not only does God love us (which is humbling in itself), but that He actually likes us, even when we don’t like ourselves. Because He needs nothing from us, He is able to love us with an unconditional love that satisfies the deepest longings of the human heart.
