Jesus, the Prince of Peace

Text: Isaiah 9:1-7

As the prophet Isaiah looked forward to the promised Messiah, his contemporaries would have been looking forward to peace from the threat of Israel’s surrounding enemies. However, in Jesus, our true Prince of Peace, we find a far greater peace as He came to reconcile us to God, to destroy our greatest enemy, Satan and the spiritual forces of darkness, and to reconcile us to one another as one body in Christ.
